What is Clean Fill?

Clean fill is excavated natural materials like natural soil or gravel (sometimes known as VENM, virgin excavated natural materials). It's free from toxic contaminates, this allows us to recycle a range of clean fill such as:

What is Mixed Fill and Spoil?

Spoil and mixed fill is the combination of various materials like soil, gravel and rubble. When fill is mixed it incurs higher waste levies compared to virgin separated clean fill. We accept mixed fill such as:

What fill don't you accept?

We're only set up and registered to recycle certain classes of waste. We recycle the clean fill to refill the sand quarry so it needs to be free toxic contaminates to avoid harm to the environment.

This means we can't accept materials containing the following waste:

Please Sort Waste Types

Sorted clean loads allow us to minimise waste by ensuring everything can be recycled or reused. Mixed waste loads that are unsorted or cross contaminated are subject to waste minimisation levies from the New Zealand Ministry for the Environment

Unsorted loads incur levies.
